Why have Fillers?
It’s simple, the better we look the better we feel. Also in today’s western world we tend to live longer and our ageing population is steadily increasing and many do wish to stay looking more youthful.
With the help of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers we are making this easier, so our looks reflect the age we feel rather than the age we are.
Why have Lip Fillers?
If you want to improve the condition of your lips, make them fuller, more hydrated or just enhancing the lip borders for more definition. you choose. Youthful lips and skin are rich in Hyaluronic Acid (HA), a substance that binds water, hydrates the skin and promotes all-important softness and fullness.
But as we age the HA in our lips and skin gradually becomes less efficient and leads to loss of volume and the tell- tale signs of ageing. When injected into the lips, HA fillers are effectively giving nature a helping hand.
The HA boosts and restores youthful volume where we need it and at the same time stimulates the production of our natural production of collagen.
Jessica Pancic mainly use Restylane Fillers because Restylane is well tested, tried and trusted. It has been used world wide for over 16 years with over 15 million treatments. It is clinically proven with extensive clinical documentation and has been the most widely used.
Who is lip filler enhancement suitable for?
Lip enhancement is suitable for all healthy individuals that wish to improve the shape, hydration and fullness of their lips. Please note; candidates must be at least 18 years of age. The Restylane filler is a stabilised non-animal based, hyaluronic acid gel(HA). HA is a substance that naturally exists in our body and therefore no patch testing is needed prior to use.
Is the Rosalyn filler safe?
The HA gel in Restylane closely resembles our own HA which means Restylane is safe.
Who should not have fillers?
- Should not be used in or near areas where there has been skin disease or inflammation.
- Restylane has not been tested in pregnant and breast feeding women
- Individuals with medical conditions that lower the body’s immune response
- Individuals undergoing therapy that is immuno-suppressive
What type of filler is used?
There are many types and brands of fillers on the market but at the Carfax Dental Practice we have chosen to use mainly the Restylane Fillers because they are the most scientifically documented HA based filler in the world with comprehensive studies that support it’s safety and efficacy.
Does the treatment hurt?
No, the treatment procedure does not hurt because we use a topical numbing gel prior to the treatment and the filler used also contains lidocaine local anaesthetics which helps to numb the area treated.
What are the after effects?
the lips are extremely vascularised so there is usually some swelling and possibly bruising after the treatment.
Other possible reactions are redness, itching, pain and tenderness, these are generally mild to moderate and usually resolve within one or two days…Swelling and bruising can stay for up to a week. I always advise to plan to have it done at least two weeks prior to any important occasion. It is advisable to rest and take it easy for at least two days after injecting the lips.
How long do the results last?
The results usually last between 6 to 12 months. The duration depends on many factors, such as the individuals skin tight skin condition, lifestyle and age.
