We can offer appointments for STD/HIV screening. All our appointments are confidential, and we do not need to correspond with your GP for positive STD results, unless you specifically request us to.

Sexual Health screens can include a blood test, urine test and swab tests. We offer full pre- and post-testing counselling and support for our patients.

Prostate cancer is the MOST common cancer that affects men, excluding non melanoma skin cancers. It is more common for men over the age of 50. We offer a prostate cancer check, which involves a consultation and history. This is followed by a full examination, which includes a rectal examination, and a PSA test.

All of these aspects can then give an idea on whether you are at high risk of having prostate cancer. If you are at high risk, we would recommend a referral to an Urologist.

Cardio-vascular diseases, such as heart attacks and strokes, are one the major causes of death in this country. We offer a cardio-vascular risk assessment, which involves a detailed questionnaire followed by a consultation with the doctor. We will undertake a full cardiac examination, with a BP check, BMI and waist circumference, alongside blood tests for diabetes and a full lipid profile.

Once we have all the results, we can give you a coronary heart disease risk, along with comparative risks for the general population for your age range.
